    What does this organization exactly do?

    UNESCO stands for United Nations Educational Scientific & Cultural Organization and UNESCO's main purpose is to Establish a culture of peace, boost sustainable development, eradicate poverty, and most importantly to encourage intercultural dialogues by using tools like education, the sciences, culture, communication, and information.

    Which was the first UNESCO World Heritage Site in India?

    The very first World Heritage site that got a place in the UNESCO's list was the Ajanta Caves in Aurangabad district, Maharashtra. These caves were added in the list of heritage sites in 1983 along with Ellora caves, Tajmahal (one of the wonders of the world ) and Agra Fort (built by Shahjahan in 1573 ).
